Ermol Learner – Driving Lesson Booking App

Challenge

Booking a driving lesson usually meant phone calls and delays. Ermol wanted learners to browse instructor profiles, compare pricing, book lessons and pay securely in one mobile experience, with a two-way review system to keep feedback quality high and help learners find the best instructors in their area.

What I built

I designed and developed the entire front-end experience in Flutter, from scratch through to App Store and Play Store deployment.

• Learner and instructor profiles: learners register, browse nearby driving instructors, and view profiles with availability and pricing
• Lesson booking: real-time scheduling and booking of driving sessions
• Payments and earnings: Stripe for payments and Google Payouts for instructor earnings
• Ratings and feedback: learners and instructors rate each other after each session, with a feedback history for transparency
• Location-based discovery: geolocation shows the instructors available nearby
• Sign-in: Google, Facebook or Apple ID

Tech

Flutter and Firebase on the client. I integrated the app with a PHP Laravel backend developed by a separate backend team, connected Stripe and Google Payouts, and added authentication logic across all sign-in providers. I also worked on performance so the app stays smooth and responsive across devices.

Outcome

• Helped modernize and digitize driving lesson booking, reducing manual phone bookings and delays
• Simplified payments with in-app checkout and earnings distribution
• Increased visibility for certified driving instructors in their local areas
• Built trust through a two-way review and rating system
