Sabroso Pakistan – eCommerce Food Delivery App
An eCommerce food delivery app for one of Pakistan's leading frozen and fast-food brands, serving customers nationwide.
Challenge
Sabroso, one of Pakistan’s leading frozen and fast-food brands, wanted customers nationwide to browse and order products such as chilled chicken, nuggets, premium meat cuts and quick-serve fast foods directly to their doorstep. The app had to integrate with the Sabroso Shop online store and keep ordering fast and the brand consistent across digital channels.
What I built
I led the Flutter UI/UX design, designing all screens and user journeys with clean, modular and responsive layouts. I supervised a junior developer during implementation, cleaned up the legacy code, and applied state management best practices to improve responsiveness.
- Full product catalog: Sabroso products, categorized and searchable, with real-time availability
- Two order types: cash on delivery, or prepaid through the Bank Alfalah payment gateway
- Multiple sign-in options: Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In and email/password
- Optional biometric authentication: fingerprint or Face ID for quick and secure access
- Smooth checkout flow: optimized for minimal friction
- Order tracking: secure backend communication for order tracking and status updates
Tech
Flutter, Firebase and the Oracle APEX API. I integrated Bank Alfalah’s secure payment API with proper validation and fail-safe mechanisms, implemented biometric authentication and safeguarded user sessions. I also handled the full deployment to Google Play and the Apple App Store.
Outcome
- One cross-platform Flutter codebase instead of separate native apps to maintain
- Faster delivery cycles and a scalable codebase for future updates
- Less customer support load, thanks to better app stability and clearer in-app order information
